Drink it now or cellar for up to 10 years. No need to decant. Maison Louis Jadot has produced a wide range of Burgundy wines since 1859, when Louis Henry Denis Jadot founded it in Beaune. The estate, which owns approximately 220 hectares of vineyards spread across some of Burgundy's most important appellations, has also acquired Domaine Ferret in Fuissé and Château des Jacques in Beaujolais. Maison Jadot’s wines are highly prized for reflecting the region's great diversity of terroirs with style and superb balance. The Chardonnay grapes are sourced from selected vineyards in the Mâcon-Villages area, within the Mâconnais wine region of southern Burgundy. Here, the vines take root in chalk- and limestone-rich soils, imparting a distinctive mineral character to the wines. Vinification and aging take place without the use of oak to preserve the wine's freshness and aromatic vibrancy. In the glass, the wine reveals a clean, lively character and a broad aromatic profile that opens with fresh notes of green apple, citrus, and ripe white fruit, followed by floral nuances and mineral touches. On the palate, it is smooth and balanced, offering a creamy texture and rich fruit flavors. It is mineral, refreshing, and crisp, with a medium body and a long, juicy finish. It is a food-friendly wine: excellent with white fish, vegetable quiches, and roast chicken, and equally enjoyable as an aperitif on its own or with seafood appetizers.
